How to Install SAP TAO demo License...

Once we install SAP TAO then we have to configure functional libraries and setup environment variables for TAO.

Before installing TAO DEMO license first do self check.

Open SAP TAO
Go to “Configuration” link in TAO window
In “Configuration” window go to “Self Test” tab and click “Start” button

Now go to "License" tab and click on "Check for License" button

You will get an exclamation mark in red for Valid License.

Now to install SAP TAO Demo License we have to create a file in SAP TAO root folder in Local system.

Go to C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP TAO\
Create a empty notepad file and rename it to “SAPOLDLICENSE.TAO”
Make sure the file extension should be “.TAO” and should be in capitals.


Open SAP TAO and go to “License” tab
In “Generate System Number” field under “SAP TAO License” field enter “DEMO” (should be caps)
Go to “Self Test” tab and again click “START” button.

You can find DEMO license is enabled and working.

Note: DEMO license is valid only for 14 days…..

"Error at TabEnter"

Normally we get this error when we do not have SAP system defined in SAP GUI (Logon Pad).

Create a system in GUI and re-run SAP TAO configuration setup…

3.0 Setup Enviornment variables

• After successful installation of SAP TAO 1.10, follow below steps to setup Environment variables for the user profile.
  




• In System Properties select "Advanced" tab go to "Advance" tab select "Environment Variables"
  
  
  
• Click on Button ‘New’ under “User variables for…”
  
  
  
• Add all the 3 Environment Variables one by one as shown in the snap below and click the ‘Ok’ button.
  
  
• NOTE:ensure that the Variable value is set to “0” (zero) for each variable.
  
  

• Once all the Environment Variables are added, it’s recommended to reboot the PC.
